Charging system and Pantograph


Electric bus charging is realized via roof mounted pantograph. Once the e-bus stops at a charge station, the driver pushes a button to raise the pantograph and contact the charging hood. Maximum charge current is 550 A. After a full charge that lasts a few minutes, a fully loaded vehicle can cover over 60 kilometres and hence round-the-clock use. This is the major difference from battery e-buses which have longer range but most often need overnight recharging.
