Chariot Motors delivered an electric bus to the city of Sandanski, Bulgaria – July 2025

In June 2025, the Municipality of Sandanski received a 6.8-meter electric bus from Chariot Motors, provided to the city’s municipal public transport operator. The vehicle can carry 11 seated and up to 21 standing passengers and has a range of up to 400 km on a single charge. The e-bus will serve routes both within the city and in the suburban areas of Sandanski, including nearby settlements.
The bus is a low-floor vehicle equipped with a ramp for wheelchairs and strollers. It is also fitted with video surveillance for enhanced safety. The deal includes one 80 kW charging station manufactured by Lyubinsen. Full charging takes between 3 and 4 hours overnight, providing a range of 350 to 400 km depending on external conditions such as temperature, use of heating/air conditioning, and traffic.
The average energy consumption of the e-bus is approximately 0.35 kWh/km. The vehicle will operate seven days a week and is expected to cover around 58,000 km annually.
