Chariot Motors have begun development of a new 18m articulated fast charging ultracapacitor e-bus. The vehicle will have 108kWh UC (12 modules x 9 kWh each) located in the rear compartment and on the roof. Expected charge time will be 10 minutes, after which the e-bus will travel 40 km. Capacity is 130 seated and standing passengers.
The new vehicle will be ready for European operation by the end of 2021. It follows in the footsteps of the successful 12m UC Future of Urban Transportation Chariot e-bus.
